The weather kept many motorcyclists away from the 20th annual Bikers for Babies event to benefit the March of Dimes, but there were still about 120 diehard supporters who rode from south St. Louis to Alton on Sunday.   Organizers had hoped for around 700 attendees, but the rain early in the morning kept many home for the midday ride.

Still, the closing event at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater featured food, drink and music, plus raffles all to support the organization.   The original end point was to have been Pere Marquette State Park, but flooding this summer forced the group to move the event to end in Alton.  With the lower than expected turnout, the group donated its leftover food to area churches on Sunday afternoon.
