Thousands of people turned out in the nice weather on Saturday for the 10th annual Mardi Gras party in Worden, appropriately dubbed Wordi Gras.   Hundreds of people took part in the parade yesterday afternoon through the small town in northern Madison County with a regular population of just over 1,000 people.

Called a "redneck Mardi Gras," the event began 10 years ago with a few friends in the back of a pick up truck.  It has since grown into a larger party for adults and kids in the afternoon, and then grown ups only at local bars into the evening.
