U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is cheering the 2009 stimulus and argues that it helped prevent an economic depression. Biden traveled to America’s Central Port in Granite City earlier today to mark the fifth anniversary of the roughly 800-billion dollar American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Biden, who was joined by several local, county and state officials, says the United States must continue to invest in infrastructure:

The Vice President said the stimulus helped the U.S. turn a corner at the height of the recession. Biden argued that the U.S. must continue to invest in infrastructure to create more jobs and grow the economy.
