The issue of Video gaming will be placed back under the microscope in the village of Bethalto after board members adopted a measure at last night’s meeting making it illegal in the village. The move comes just one month after the board unanimously approved a measure paving the way for establishments with the right type of liquor license to acquire video gaming terminals.
Mayor Steve Bryant says that this decision has to do with the state’s gaming legislation:
Bryant also says that they will now reexamine the village’s entire liquor license code, in an effort to have better control over who is able to acquire video gaming terminals.
In other business, board members were updated on the various road upgrades going on around the village by Mayor Bryant and Public Works Director Joe Ricci. Work on the final stretch of Roosevelt Street will be completed later this week and work on Route 140 is expected to be finished by mid-November.
