The Bethalto School Board held its monthly meeting last night and approved the renewal of a waiver that allows the district to charge more for a student to take drivers education than school code allows, and heard the report of the percentage of students moving on from one grade to the next.

Superintendent Charlie Stegall also announced a 3% increase on all employee insurance rates except vision and dental. He noted that there was no increase last year. The driver's ed fee will be $250.
