A comprehensive plan is a document that municipalities use to map out future changes in infrastructure, growth and development. Bethalto residents will get their first glimpse at the latest update of the village's comprehensive plan next week during a pair of hearings at Village Hall.
The hearings on September 12th will also give those in attendance a chance to give their input on what the village needs and what they would like to see Bethalto look like 10 to 20 years from now. Bethalto Mayor Alan Winslow says the public plays a major role in mapping out the future of the village:
Winslow says all of the input gathered will be considered before the Bethalto Comprehensive Plan Commission issues its final update to the plan. The public hearings will take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Village Hall next Thursday, September 12th.
