Many churches serve Thanksgiving dinners to their members, but an effort in Bethalto has brought together a number of churches to serve a big meal for the entire community.  This Sunday at noon, the doors at the Bethalto Knights of Columbus Hall will open to the public, and the entire community is invited to the free event.

Dinner will be the traditional meal, with turkey, dressing, and a number of sides.  It is a large undertaking, says event spokesman Kathy Sullivan.

The event runs from noon-4pm, and is open to anyone who would like to attend.  If you are homebound and would like a meal delivered within a 5 mile radius of the KC Hall, call 401-7959 before 5pm Thursday.  No RSVP is necessary to dine in.
