Bethalto Spirit sponsors the Victorian Christmas Walk this Sunday from 4-7pm near the town center. For two decades, the non-profit group and local businesses have teamed up to host a period Christmas celebration featuring music, food and drink, and other holiday entertainment free of charge. Among the highlights are candlelit streets, alongside horse-drawn carriages and strolling musicians.
One of the highlights is the Christmas Concerts, with performances at 3pm and 7:30pm, according to committee member Jim Rowe.
The concerts will be held at the Landmark Worship Center, formerly known as the First Baptist Church on Prairie Street. There will also be shorter mini-musical presentations at the Bethalto Senior Center throughout the day. Organizers say many businesses will be open Sunday, as well as the Bethalto museum.
