The improved sports facilities in Bethalto are apparently drawing a lot of interest from tournament organizers, and a number have been booked this year.  Baseball and softball fields will host more than a dozen tournaments this year, and the village’s mayor is looking for a healthy economic impact as a result.

The first of the tournament weekends is scheduled for April 18-19.  There are tournaments booked all the way through the second weekend of August.  Winslow expects revenues of about $30,000.
