The tennis coach at Alton High School is battling liver cancer, and a benefit is being held tonight. Robert Logan found out he had the cancer on January 30, and had surgery shortly after. He is now going through chemotherapy, as the cancer has worked its way into the liver ducts. His uncle, Madison County Board member Mike Walters, is helping organize a benefit tonight to help with his nephew's medical expenses.
The event has been moved from the Riverbend Arena to the Commons at Lewis & Clark Community College. Doors open at 6:30pm tonight, with the benefit running from 7-11pm. There will be live music by The Stingers. You can get tickets at the door. It's $15 per person or $25 per couple.
