A program promoted by the Illinois Principals Association will see State Representative Dan Beiser of Alton become a "Principal For A Day" at Alton Middle School. Tomorrow morning, Beiser will be interacting with staff and students while performing administrative duties alongside Assistant Principal Lanea DeConcini.
Illinois Principals Association Government Relations Director Alison Maley says getting lawmakers into the classroom accomplishes many things, not the least of which is the financial concerns they deal with.
Beiser spent eight years as a teacher earlier in his career. He says this is a good way to talk to the teachers and hear their concerns.
The Illinois Principals Association is a leadership organization which serves over 4,200 educational leaders across the state of Illinois.
