State and local police are beefing up patrols through March 22nd. Motorists will see extra cops out on the roads as St. Patrick's Day celebrations are underway. Madison County Sheriff’s Department Captain Will Dimitroff says while his department is not adding any extra patrols, they should be able to handle anything that comes up.
He tells The Big Z if you are going to celebrate, do so responsibly, starting with lining up a designated driver.

Quinn says "luck alone won't get you home," so she advises you make plans ahead of time to use public transportation, call a cab, or have the aforementioned designated driver take you home after a day of partying.
