Cardinal fever is running rampant, but if you get taken by a ticket scalper, it could make you sick.  Assuming neither team runs the table in San Francisco, Game 6 of the National League Championship Series will be played in St. Louis on Saturday.  The counterfeit ticket market is hotter than ever because of the always-improving technology available to consumers, according to Better Business Bureau Investigator Bill Smith.

If purchasing tickets online, Smith advises you to ask lots of questions and be wary of an offer that requires wiring money.  When you send money by wire, it is almost impossible to get it back or to trace the recipient, who may be overseas.  Also, ask the seller where he or she is located and how he or she may be contacted after the sale.  If the seller is evasive, don’t pursue the offer.
