If you are a high school junior or know someone who is, there is a scholarship available through the Better Business Bureau. A panel of independent judges will choose three winners, considering each student’s leadership qualities, academic performance, character and essay. Each will receive a $2,500 award to be used at an accredited college of the student’s choice.
The “Student of Ethics” award recognizes students who demonstrate high ethics through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic achievement. In addition to an entry form, the BBB’s Bill Smith says students must upload a high school transcript, a letter of recommendation and a 300-word essay describing the process by which he or she confronted an ethical dilemma and made a decision.
