The Alton Area Animal Aid Association has been helping serve the Riverbend area since 1959 as a non-profit, no-kill Animal Shelter. The eighth annual "Bark in the Park" is being held tomorrow (Sunday) at Godfrey's Glazebrook Park. It is billed as a “friend-raiser” more so than a fund-raiser.
Ric Jun is the 5A's director, and says the shelter and the Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up with several partners for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. He says there are several special competitions for the dogs, and some other games too.
