The TreeHouse Wildlife Center in Dow nurses injured animals back to health, and has done so for about 35 years.  The facility is hosting a bald eagle release event tomorrow at the Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge in Brussels.  The visitor's center will be open from 10am - 2pm, but the actual release is scheduled for 11am.

Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau spokesman Gail Wallace tells The Big Z if you've never been to a bird release, it's an enjoyable experience.

The event is free and open to the public.  Additionally, "Eagle Watching With A Ranger" will be held at 9am and will feature a ranger-led auto tour to multiple areas on the refuge that are known for bald eagles.  For more information, or to register for the eagle watching program, call 618-883-2524.
