You remember sports physicals and school supplies are a part of the back to school routine, but the Illinois Department of Public Health says don't forget the dental exam. The department’s Doctor David Miller says kids, as well as adults, should be getting check-ups twice a year.
He says for some grades, an exam is required before school starts.
Miller says taking care of your child’s teeth is an important part of their overall health. He says too many students are missing time at school because of dental problems.
