A group of local astronomy buffs is hoping to spread the word about their club and celestial events that are happening in 2015.  The Nature Institute in Godfrey hosts the club, and citizen-scientists of all ages are looking forward to enjoying the evening and learning about the Comet Lovejoy, which is becoming brighter in the night sky.

Amateur astronomer Eddie Agha, of Agha Designs, tells The Big Z the comet is unique in that a human discovered it rather than a computer.

The astronomy club meets the third Thursday of each month at The Nature Institute.  If you would like more information, call 467-2521.
