The Calhoun Art Guild is a local group of artists who have joined together to increase awareness and interest in local artistic endeavors. The next show is coming up Thursday and features the work of Kampsville resident Kim Dublo, whose specialty is working with gourds. Guild member Linda Basden says they schedule these shows to coincide with classes on the same topic.

Basden comments

Classes are $15, and includes snacks and materials. Thursday nights are the receptions from 6-8pm, and the classes fall on Saturdays at 4. The event is held at the McCully Heritage Project farmhouse just south of Kampsville. For more information, call 618-653-4687.
