Eric StaufferA number of schools in the Riverbend are receiving art supplies today, thanks to a donation drive organized by Regional Art Works.  The organization recently coordinated an art supply drive as a response to a shrinking emphasis on art in local schools.

Due to tighter budgets, art programs are often the first to feel the pinch of belt-tightening according to Regional Art Works President Eric Stauffer.  He tells The Big Z that is the push behind this effort.

These supplies will be distributed to a host of "Mini Art Programs" at the local schools, which are run by teachers and parent volunteers.  You can still donate to the effort.  Call Stauffer at 310-4118 to schedule a pick up, or follow the link:
