After nearly a month on the run, the suspect in a Wood River armed robbery is behind bars. 41-year-old Christopher Booker of St. Louis had eluded police since charges were filed a few of weeks ago, but the United States’ Marshall’s Service has taken him into custody and he will be returning to Madison County to face his charges.
Wood River Police Chief Otis Steward says Booker was captured in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Booker is accused of robbing the AT&T store on Vaughn Road August 14th with the help of an employee, 38-year-old Stacey Graham of Jerseyville. Graham was taken into custody at the time. Investigators believe Booker and Graham met online, and that Booker showed up at the store August 14th and had Graham play along with the robbery.
