The Wood River Aquatic Center will open in about a month, and crews are hopeful the maintenance on the slide will be done in time for the coming season.  In recent years the pool has been resurfaced, removing rough edges and splinters, and drains and pumps have been replaced.  New pricing was introduced a couple of years ago, and city leaders say that was a well-received move.

Recreation Supervisor Jason Woody says if the center opened today, the water slide would not be ready.

Prices this year are $1 for toddlers 2 years old and younger, $7 for children 3-16, adults 16-54 would be charged $8, and $7 for seniors 55 and older.  The season will run May 25-August 18.
