From Memorial Day to nearly Labor Day, the community will be able to swim, splash, and slide the afternoon away at the Wood River Aquatic Center, and this year's opening day is this Saturday, May 25. Rates remain the same as last year, offering what city officials say is a more affordable experience for area families.
Recreation Supervisor Jason Woody says the prep work has been underway for about a week.
Prices are $1 for toddlers 2 years old and younger, $7 for children 3-16, adults 16-54 would be charged $8, and $7 for seniors 55 and older. The biggest change customers will notice is the shortening of the Aquatic Center season by a couple of weeks. Rather than take the season all the way to Labor Day Weekend, the popular attraction will close this year on August 18.
