Just in time for the weekend, another winter storm is heading toward the Riverbend.  A mix of liquid and freezing precipitation is in the forecast, and area road crews are doing what they can to prepare.  In most cases, pre-treating has begun with brine being spread on area roadways.

In Godfrey, Director of Maintenance Jim Lewis says salting the road at this point would not be productive with the forecast calling for rain at the start of the storm.

The storm is still pulling itself together, and both men say their response could change depending upon what type of precipitation comes, and when.
