The Alton Symphony Orchestra will host its first concert of its 70th season this Saturday in Godfrey.  The concert will pay tribute to orchestras of years past as it performs “Bach, Beethoven and the Big Band.”  It is a concert that organizers hope will appeal to a variety of audiences.

Alton Symphony Maestro Shane Williams takes performing the classics very seriously.
