The Alton School District has amended its 2013-2014 budget, since the state made good on its payments on June 30. The adjustments were made in the Education and Transportation funds, and mean that for the first time in several years all categorical payments were made in the fiscal year intended.
This is not something the district should get used to, however, according to Superintendent Dr. Ken Spells.
