Aladin Ct - Fri NightAlton Police have had a busy two days, investigating the robbery of a cell phone store and a shooting last night.   Officers responded to a home on Aladdin Avenue last night to the report of one man being shot and injured, while the armed robbery at the Sprint Store on the Homer Adams Parkway took place Thursday night.

The shooting incident Friday night resulted in an injury to one man who was taken to a local hospital then later airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis.  His condition is unknown.  Last night, a police scanner Suspect vehiclereport indicated officers were searching for three suspects who fled the scene in a gray, 4-door Honda with tinted windows and a sunroof.   

On Thursday, just before 8pm, officers responded to the Sprint store on Homer Adams Parkway, after reports of an armed robbery.  Both suspects were described as 20-25-year-old males and approx. 5'10".  The suspects stole several items offered for sale and cash from the store before fleeing in a silver passenger car.  No injuries were reported.

Leads are already being followed but investigators are asking that anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Alton Police at 618-463-3505.
