According to the new statistics, motor vehicle thefts are down 25%, but burglaries were up by 17%. Arrests for cannabis dropped 8%, and arrests for controlled substances showed a 4% decrease. The total crimes reported in 2011 was 1551, compared to 1523 in 2010 and 2433 in 1996.
