After meeting for three hours Tuesday, the Alton Electoral Board recessed until next Wednesday, when it is expected to make a decision on the Brant Walker mayoral bid.  Walker's right to be on the ballot has been challenged by Alton attorney Donald Groshong.  Evidence was presented from both sides during the session.

Several witnesses were heard, including the city's comptroller and treasurer and a representative of Illinois American Water.  Past due bills are among the allegations against Walker, as anyone with delinquent accounts is not allowed to run for public office.  Walker says his team proved those claims to be without merit.
