Alton Mayor Brant Walker has announced a change for the concert at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater on July 3. The show preceding the fireworks over the Mississippi River at the riverfront will now be offered free of charge thanks to the addition of new sponsors.
Walker says those who had already purchased general admission tickets will be contacted, but a special VIP section is still being offered for $20 that will feature private food and drink service, restrooms, and riverfront parking. Three bands will be performing before the display, with gates opening at 5pm and music starting at 6pm. Food and drink will be for sale on the grounds with prices starting at $3.00. Those seated outside the VIP area are allowed to bring their own chairs and blankets for the lawn. For more information on the concert go to http://www.riverfrontamphitheater.com/
