There's more to brag about at the Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau. The much lauded organization recently received recognition from a national accreditation program. The Destination Marketing Accreditation Program is an international accreditation program developed by the Washington, D.C., based Destination Marketing Association International.
The Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau is one of only of eight CVBs in the state to be awarded this accreditation. CVB President Brett Stawar says that's pretty impressive, considering they are competing against bureaus in the northern part of the state with much bigger budgets:
By applying for and receiving DMAP accreditation, a DMAP Board Chairperson says the Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau demonstrated a commitment to quality programs and services.
