The preferred path of a new connector road between Alton and Godfrey will likely be revealed tomorrow. On Wednesday from 4-7pm at Alton High School, representatives from the Illinois Department of Transportation and their consultants will be at the school to discuss the Alton – Godfrey Transportation Study.
An Alton-Godfrey Expressway may run from the Homer Adams Parkway to north of Route 255. IDOT Spokesman Kirk Brown tells The Big Z in a previous interview there were eight options being considered at the beginning of the study.

Possible alternatives include: no action, upgrades of existing roadways and connections, or roadways on new alignments with new connections.
