The expansion of Alton Little Theater is moving forward with a capitol campaign. The Board of Directors recently voted to take the next step in the process that began with consultant work and public meetings over the last year, and will now work to raise $2.5 million for a new theater building that will provide more seats, little or no steps, and more room in front of and behind the curtain.

Cox says in the meantime, they will carry on at Alton Little Theater with the summer musical, The Music Man, that hits the stage on July 18, and the 80th season that opens in September.
