A Wood River man and woman who are believed to be responsible for recent electronic thefts at the Godfrey and Highland Wal-Mart stores have been caught. Charged with retail theft over $300 and possession of a controlled substance are 48-year-old Brenda E. Hunt (pictured, top) and 47-year-old Link T. Frenz (pictured, bottom) , both of the same address in the first block of East Acton.

The pair would allegedly target video games and laptop computers. Hunt, who was seen in surveillance video in a wheelchair, apparently has some medical reason for using the chair. Investigators credit getting photos from that surveillance to the public with the quick turnaround in the case. Almost immediately after it was first reported, tips began coming into the Sheriff's Department, which ultimately led to their arrest. The two were taken into custody without incident at their apartment.
