Alton Police rounded up a pair of alleged heroin dealers in the Upper Alton area in early September, and they have now been indicted by a federal grand jury in a man's death. According to United States Attorney Stephen Wiggington's office, 33-year-old Tyron L. Adams (pictured, bottom) , and 26-year-old Cara L. Moss (pictured, top), both of the same address in the 2700 block of Powhattan, sold the heroin that killed 23-year-old Leonard O. Hormann III on August 20 of this year.
Both are charged with the same crimes in the three-count indictment. Count one alleges they distributed the heroin to Horman, count 2 alleges they maintained a drug-involved premised on Powhattan Street, and count three alleges they distributed heroin within 1,000 feet of a school. If convicted, they could each face life in prison on count one. Both are scheduled for a jury trial on January 22, 2013.
