The Madison County Coroner’s Office says an Alhambra man fell to his death while cutting trees on his farm last weekend. Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn said Monday that 75-year old Dan H. Dauderman of the 11,600 block of Leusher Road was trimming trees from his tractor when a limb fell and struck the manual bucket release mechanism, causing it to flip upside down and Dauderman to fall about 10 feet.
Dauderman was pronounced dead at the scene just before 11 a.m. Saturday. An autopsy was conducted and the preliminary cause of death is described as a cervical fracture and transection of the spinal cord.
Funeral arrangements for Dauderman are under the direction of the Dauderman Funeral Home in Alhambra.
