A Godfrey man has been named the newest judge for the Third Judicial Circuit. Attorney Phillip Alfeld was named this week as an Associate Judge to replace Dean Sweet who retired from the bench at the end of May. Alfeld has been an attorney since 1980.
Alfeld previously worked in the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office and in private practice. He’s also been a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for Lewis and Clark Community College and has been an instructor of Constitutional Law at the College since 1991.
