Frank Akers has been on the job as Wood River Mayor for about three months, and says everything seems to be running smoothly. He was chosen by his peers April 9th to fill the mayor’s spot on the Wood River City Council following the death of Mayor Fred Ufert on March 25. He says the transition was seamless, and looks forward to helping the city continue to move forward.
He tells The Big Z his biggest worry is of something that’s out of his hands - the weather.
