St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto has passed its certification inspection, conducted by the FAA. To not pass the inspection could shut down the facility. The inspector that conducted the test is in charge of 21 airports, with the biggest being the Minneapolis International Airport, and the smallest being any of a number of regional airports.

Miller says tests included a timed run by the fire and safety crew, airfield inspection for day and night, and research of training records to make sure the maintenance people are fully trained to run a commercial airport. Miller will join us for a full hour on Let's Talk next Wednesday, February 8.
