A window replacement project at Southwestern High School this summer will precede a more ambitious project to add air conditioning to the school. Upgrading the windows is the first step in making the building more comfortable for students, staff and visitors.
According to a report in the Jersey County Journal, the window upgrades will begin this month. After the windows are replaced, work to add an HVAC system to the school will follow. The school currently has heat, but no ac. It is the thought of the district's superintendent that having air conditioning will improve the performance of their students during the warmer months, and make it more comfortable for visitors.
