The largest commencement event in the Riverbend takes place tonight at Alton High School.  Graduation ceremonies begin at 7pm with 469 seniors who will take their final walk as students through the halls of Alton High.  The event is held inside the Alton High gym but only those with a ticket can attend.

Those without a ticket can still come to the building, but will have to watch on the big screen either in the auditorium or the cafeteria commons.   Alton High School Assistant Principal Cathy Elliott says there will be something new added tonight:

Doors open at 5:30pm, and only those with tickets can enter the gym and need to be seated by 6:50pm.  Parking is anywhere on the Alton High campus or next door at the Heartland Baptist Church where a free shuttle will run before and after the ceremony.  Watch tonight's Alton High graduation at www.riverbender.com
