The Alton School Board has approved a bid for the seeding and irrigation of the athletic fields at the new complex being built behind Alton High School. Munie Greencare Professionals submitted the winning bid of $206,051 to move the project forward as work continues at the facility off of Humbert Road in Godfrey.

He says that work is still a month or so away from beginning. Right now, the asphalt is being laid around the track, the curb has been put in, and the concession stand is being built.
