If you like parades, then the River Bend is the place to be.  There are five Halloween Parades scheduled between Saturday and next Thursday and it looks like the weather should cooperate for most of them.  Alton, Bethalto, East Alton, Hartford and Wood River will all hold parades in the coming days, in addition to trick or treating that will take place in most communities on October 30th and 31st.

The annual parade will be held in Hartford this Saturday at 1pm beginning at the community center, running down Delmar Avenue to 7th Street Park.  The Village's Deanna Barnes says this is a fun time for all.

Wood River is also holding its parade Saturday this morning, and Bethalto's is Monday night.  East Alton's Parade will be next Wednesday at 7pm beginning at Wilshire Plaza and ending at the East Alton American Legion. Then, the 97th Alton Halloween Parade is a week from Thursday, beginning at 7:30pm at the intersection of Broadway and Washington Avenue, then north on Piasa Street.   Z-1570 will once again provide coverage of the Alton parade a week from Thursday night.
