The Alton Area Animal Aid Association shelves are looking a bit bare these days, as donations of food and money have not kept pace with the need.  The organization is traditionally at capacity for both dogs and cats, and they all need fed while they wait for someone to adopt them into a forever home.

Executive Director Ric Jun says donations of either the food or money would help.

Jun comments

They hope to make it through the next couple of months through their normal food donations, as a big food drive is planned again this December at St. Ambrose School.   If you are dropping off food at the shelter on Alby Street, you can do so between 8am and 4pm.  This is the 55 year anniversary of the 5A's.
