The Alton Area Animal Aid Association is full of cats and dogs year-round, and at times, donations fall below what is needed to keep the animals fed.  A recent call for donations is starting to replenish the supply.  A new effort to expand the reach of the resale shop has recently been launched, through the help of an intern at the Riverbender Community Center.

The organization has launched an E-Bay store, with profits from the items they sell to be split between the 5A's and the community center, according to 5A's volunteer Sue Mueller.

Sarah Boukarih is the intern that is spearheading the effort.  She says one of the most unique items they have seen so far is an Elvis lighthouse, but stresses the online store is new, so they are learning how it works and what items are likely to sell.
