Halloween takes place at the end of this month and for many that means an increase in superstitions, including those that involve black cats. As a result, the Alton Area Animal Aid Association is following suit with many shelters according to
Alton 5A's Director Sue Mueller.

Mueller Comments

Mueller also reminds families to remember all the things that go into adopting a pet, especially during the holiday season. She says many times families adopt a pet when they don't have the time to train them, which is a crucial part of their development.

The first day that black and white cats will be able to be adopted is November 1st.
