The United Way’s 2-1-1 service has been up and running for 10 years in the St. Louis area, and serves residents in both Missouri and southern Illinois. It’s a free service that people can call for information on community resources primarily in the areas of health and human services.
During a recent appearance on the Big Z’s Let’s Talk, 2-1-1 Direct Service and Community Partnerships Manager Cathy Vaisvile said those services cover a wide range of topics:

She says the calls are confidential and you can use 2-1-1 anytime day or night from a landline or cell phone. You can also find out more through their website at www.211helps.org
