The Alton Area Animal Aid Association has been helping serve the Riverbend area since 1959 as a non-profit, no-kill Animal Shelter. The sixth annual "Bark in the Park" is being held tomorrow Godfrey's Glazebrook Park, a fund-raiser to keep 5-A's doors open to more than 100 animals.
Carol Metzler is on the 5A's board, and says the shelter and the Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up with several partners for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. She says you don't have to have a dog to attend.
Again, the 6th Annual "Bark in the Park" at Glazebrook Park is tomorrow from Noon until 4pm. Several thousand are expected to attend.
