General Information:
-League Time: 5pm-6pm Wednesdays(See schedule). -Dues are $30 for team members and $15 for subs. Turn into Bob Kane the 1st or 2nd week. -There is an optional weekly skins/stobbs game ($4) with a signup sheet at the counter. The money will rollover to the next week if no skins are out.
-A sub may join the league at anytime but they must play to a "0" handicap the first week.
-If you have a 3 or 4 man team, one of the team members may sub against his own team.
-Play will alternate weekly from the front to back nine. -Tee times are scheduled and will be posted on the web & the bulletin board, but if both teams are here - line up and go. -The first group out needs to take the "closest to the pin" markers for the par 3's. Last group please bring these in and put in the St. Mary's Golf League Can with the scorecards. -If there is a hole-in-one during league play, all players that night will pay the player $5. -A sub or new player may join the league at anytime but they must play to a "0" handicap the first week. -Handicaps are figured taking your best 5 scores out of your last 6. (Maximum Handicap is 18) -Keep in mind that when handicaps are figured they will reflect the "Equitable Stroke Procedure".
-The long and short of this is that you can only take so high of a score per hole depending on your handicap. (So you can pick-up your ball and mark the scorecard, if you meet you max score!)
-Weekly competition is based on 7 points:-1 point per team player for showing up (2 Total per team).-1 point for competition between the "A" team players.-1 point for competition between the "B" team players.
-1 point for competition between the "teams".
Take team total score minus the team total handicap.
-League competition will be "Match" not "Stroke" play.-Make sure your scorecard is turned into the can at the Proshop/Lounge marked St. Mary's Golf League, "EACH MATCH MUST TURN IN A CALCULATED & SIGNED SCORE CARD WITH THE SCORES ADDED AND THE MATCH POINTS FILLED OUT ON THE CARD"!! (THIS MUST BE DONE FOR THE SCORES TO COUNT)
-Seniors 55+ play Gold tees, (You must play all holes from your seleted tees.) all others play White tees.-No Gimmies - all putts must be putted out. -You may bump the ball one scorecard, no nearer the hole off the green only. -All USGA and Local Rules apply. A copy of the local rules will be posted. -Substitute players may enter skins/stobbs game even if not playing on a team.
- If the team you are playing isn't there you must hit 90% of your handicap to beat the "Course". You compete against a score of even par -vs- your net score. 90% = 0 (36/37) 1 (37/38) 2 (38/39) 3 (39/40) 4 (40/41) 5 (41/42) 6 (42/43) 7 (43/44) 8 (44/45) 9 (45/46) 9 (45/47) 10 (47/48) 11 (48/49) 12 (49/50) 13 (50/51) 14 (51/52) 15 (52/53) 16 (53/54) 17 (54/55) 18 (55/56) = (Par 35 Back / Par 36 Front)
-If the Golf Course is open, the league will play unless the President/V.P. says otherwise.
