Please join the Sierra Club and the Two Rivers Wildlife Refuge on Wednesday November 4th and Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th beginning at 9 a.m. for a tree planting project.

We will plant 1000 trees to create a corridor of bird & wildlife habitat and establish a natural savannah between the road way and the wildlife refuge.

This is scheduled as a long half-day project with snacks and drinks included.

Everyone should bring gloves and outdoor clothing along with leather or rubber boots. Shovels are needed!

Registration is requested and can be done by replying to cfavilla10@sbcglobal.netwith your name, e-mail contact, time and date you will commit, and number of friends and family coming with you.

Directions: from Grafton, Illinois you must cross the Illinois River using the Brussels Ferry and travel approximately 3 miles toward Brussels, Ill. The tree planting area is beside the highway directly across from the Pohlman Slough sign or on the right side of the highway.

Note: wet weather will affect work conditions and perhaps the work date. An e-mail the previous evening will contain any possible changes.
